sean (600x600)Sean McKenzie earned a B.A. in biology from Williams College in Williamstown, M.A. and a Master’s degree in Land Rehabilitation from Montana State University. His thesis, completed in 2014, addressed biodiversity and ecosystem functions in intensively managed agroecosystems. Sean has applied his expertise in plant identification to provide weed ecology and biological science support to Montana State’s Department of Land Resources and Environmental Science, Oregon State University’s Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society, and the U.S. Forest Service’s Pacific Northwest Research Station. His experience in conducting plant monitoring, surveys, and collections makes him an asset to GBI’s efforts with soils and ecological site identification and verification.
