Paul Hood, stationed in Victor, Idaho, serves as the Ecological Monitoring Regional Manager. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Physical Geography, with a primary focus in GIS, from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2007, and a Master’s degree in Botany (Forest Ecology) at the University of Wyoming in 2016. Paul’s work at UW focused on fire ecology and stand development in beetle-infested lodgepole pine forests. Paul has considerable field experience as a forest technician, GIS specialist, and data coordinator. As both Ecological Monitoring Manager and Data Specialist, Paul supports field crews with data management, QA/QC procedures, and GIS operations. He manages and coordinates terrestrial and aquatic AIM crews in Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah. Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Sam, and dog, Nimbus, while traveling and adventuring throughout the world.
