Nikhil Narkhede grew up mountain biking, camping, and exploring the Sonoran Desert. His interest in observing interactions in the natural world led him to pursue a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona. Upon graduation, Nikhil bounced around the country conducting wildlife surveys and building a technical skillset. Professionally, he enjoys managing teams and collaborating with others to mitigate natural resources issues. Nikhil joined the Great Basin Institute in 2015, first as an ESR and AIM field technician and continued as a Recreation Technician in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management. Nikhil spends his free time in the mountains, going fast, and exploring the road less traveled.
