Donate to or Join GBI in Serving Nevadans and Nevada Lands

As an independent non-profit, the Great Basin Institute and its service branch, the Nevada Conservation Corps, needs your help to continue serving Nevadans and Nevada lands. Through your support we can continue working to preserve, protect and restore Nevada’s public parks and wilderness recreation areas. Your contribution aids our efforts in educating the public about our local bioregions, while also offering educational and service activities for Nevada students. Your contribution will help us plant trees, build trails, restore streams, survey wild lands, reduce wildfire danger, remove invasive species, and protect endangered habitat for Nevada’s wildlife. In addition, your contribution allows us to continue to host workshops and classes for the community, providing school age youth with environmental field trips, and service opportunities for Nevadans. Our programs also offer Nevada students valuable service experiences while earning money for college.

With such a diverse range of ongoing outreach programs, we invite you to participate by becoming a Community Caretaker, joining our efforts to care for Nevadans and Nevada Lands. With a $10 contribution you will continue to receive the GBI newsletter, keeping you abreast of our efforts, as well as upcoming events, workshops and classes. For your $50 contribution we will send you the GBI newsletter, a GBI organic cotton T-Shirt, as well as periodic invitations announcing upcoming specialty workshops, field trips and restoration events. For your $100 or greater contribution, we will send you the GBI newsletter and the special announcements of upcoming events, as well as invite you to come on a free field-study trip to several NCC sites of service and a local hot spring, for an interpretive nature hike, a relaxing soak and stimulating conversation. Transportation and lunch will be provided for this “Major Donor” excursion. You will be given your choice of several dates from which to choose. Please note contributions are tax deductible, less the approximate value of the GBI gifts or services.
